Items are collectibles appearing throughout the Len'en Project that cause various effects when collected. Most items are mainstays that appear in all games, but a few are unique to one game and contribute to that game's unique gameplay mechanics.
Power Items
Power items are red-white circles with the letter "P" written on them. They come in small and large varieties. Both increase the player's shot power, but the large power items increase it by 30 times as much as the small ones. Furthermore, if the player is at maximum power, the small ones add 100 points while the large ones add 500 points to the score.
Point Items
Point items are blue-white circles with a black circle in the middle. Like power items, they come in two sizes. Both add 500 points to the score when collected, regardless of their vertical position on the screen. On top of that, small point items add 1 to the point item counter while large point items add 5.
Full Power Items
Full power items are yellow-white circles with the letter "S" written on them. They boost the player's shot power to its maximum capacity while adding 10,000 points to the score. So far, the only time it has ever been seen was in Reactivate Majestical Imperial's final stage.
1-ups and Bombs
1-ups are purple-white circles with "1up" written on them while bombs are green-white with the letter "B". As one might expect, they give the player an extra life and an extra bomb respectively when collected. On top of that, bombs add 100,000 points while 1-ups add 1,000,000 points. In Evanescent Existence, Earthen Miraculous Sword and Reactivate Majestical Imperial, they are dropped by midbosses and certain enemies, whereas in Brilliant Pagoda or Haze Castle, every boss or midboss drops a bomb when defeated while every stage 3 and 5 boss drops a 1-up.
Yin-Yang Items
Yin-yang items are grey squares with a yin yang in them. They are generated from destroyed bullets. Their value starts out at 5 points, but increases up to 1000 points with each consecutive item collected. Unlike all other items, they are always auto-collected.
Spirit Items
Spirit items are grey translucent circles with a red-orange dot in the middle. They only exist in Reactivate Majestical Imperial and can only be collected by the current passive character in the team (with the exception of Yabusame Houlen, who can collect them when active, but has to touch the items with their hitbox because they cannot be attracted by focusing). Collecting spirit items fills the spirit jar and the team enters Jar Zenith Mode with every 200 spirits collected.
Normal Bombs
Normal bombs are a type of bomb present in Brilliant Pagoda or Haze Castle. They look like a black circle with a grey crescent moon in it and act like the bombs in the previous three games.
Power Bombs
Power bombs are a type of bomb present in Brilliant Pagoda or Haze Castle. They look like a red circle with a black "P" in it. If used, the player's shot power is maxed out and the damage dealt with the bomb is much stronger.
Barrier Bombs
Barrier bombs are a type of bomb present in Brilliant Pagoda or Haze Castle. They look like a white circle with a cyan outline and a cyan cross. If used, the player's barriers reset to whatever amount they had at the start of the game.
Special Bombs
Special bombs are a type of bomb present in Brilliant Pagoda or Haze Castle. They look like a white circle with a grey star in it. Their effect is that of the power and barrier bombs combined.
