  • Reactivate Majestical Imperial (Tenkai's profile)
  • Azumaterasu (アズマテラス) is a barrier shop located somewhere in the Human Village in the Sanctuary that specialises in building barriers. The apprentice barrier builder Tenkai Zuifeng works there.

    General Information[edit]

Azumaterasu is Mugenri's barrier shop, located in the Human Village.[1] They are in charge of maintaining and repairing the Mugenri Barrier, and can be assumed to offer barrier building services to those who need it. Their only known employee, Tenkai Zuifeng, an apprentice barrier builder, is shown to carry out this work.

    Background Information[edit]

    Name[edit]

Azumaterasu (東照大神), more commonly Tōshō Daigongen (東照大権現), is the "Great God (alternatively: Great Avatar) that Illuminates the East". He is the god that Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first Shogun of Japan, crowned himself to be before his death in 1616. Azumaterasu is considered to be the ancestor and guardian of the Shogunate family, and was created to counter Amaterasu (天照大神), the "Great Goddess that Illuminates the Heavens", who is considered to be the ancestor and guardian of the Imperial family. The Imperial family was based in the west back then, which is theorized to be the reason Azumaterasu is the "Great God that Illuminates the East".

The name may be a reference to the fact that Tenkai Zuifeng was one of the two dictative powers in Mugenri, the other being Tsurubami Senri, much like how the Imperial family and the Shogunate were the two ruling powers of Japan.

According to JynX, "Azumaterasu" is written as "吾妻照" in Chinese.[2]

    Azumaterasu's Appearances[edit]

    Reactivate Majestical Imperial

In Reactivate Majestical Imperial, Tenkai Zuifeng was sent by their masters at Azumaterasu to fix the hole in the "inner" Mugenri Barrier that Lumen Celeritas made in Earthen Miraculous Sword.
