Road 1[edit | edit source]

The vertical lanes are static, while the horizontal ones don't even reach the bottom.
Everything else consists of memorizing the positions of the fairies and speedkilling.
The fairies that fire red short lasers can be completely trivialized with Yabusame and Suzumi.
For now, enjoy the VI-VII-i.

Midboss Normal Attack (Hooaka Shitodo)[edit | edit source]

First of all, Tsubakura and Suzumi can kill all of Hooaka's nons before they even complete one wave.

Just stream the cyan bullets. The blue bullets pose little to no threat.

Midboss Spell Card[edit | edit source]

Cold Card "Timed Sublimation"
Cold Card "Shooting Mist"

Tsubakura and Suzumi can end this spell before it even completes one wave.
For Yabusame, start close to Hooaka and slowly go down as they bubbles fill the screen, then go through the lowermost wall before it erupts into white bullets.
At full power, the spell will be over in one wave.

Road 2[edit | edit source]

Spin the three fairies that appear.
Everything else is trivial if you stick to the bottom center.

Boss Normal Attack #1 (Hooaka Shitodo)[edit | edit source]

This is when the game gets ugly.
The blue bubbles freeze the bullets, while the red bubbles turn them into random short lasers. They are both aimed.
Try to misdirect the red bubbles such that they don't go through too many bullets.
Or you can just stick to the center and hope for the best.

Boss Spell Card #1[edit | edit source]

Cold Wall "White Out"

The big bubble is aimed and temporarily freezes the bullets it goes through.
Try to escape the big wall first and follow Hooaka once you're out.
This spell can get ugly if Hooaka is too far from the you and/or they go too low on the screen. For the former you'll have to quickly go to the side opposite to Hooaka, while for the later the bubble will freeze *two* walls and make the timing stricter.

Boss Normal Attack #2[edit | edit source]

Misdirect the blue 3-way far from Hooaka, as that will turn into mist later on.
After the bullets freeze, stream the blue 4-way while following Hooaka.
The frozen bullets will turn into red short lasers after the 4-way ends, so don't be too close to them.

Boss Spell Card #2[edit | edit source]

Cold Flower "Scorpion Grass"
Cold Flower "Forget-Me-Not" OH YOU WON'T

The blue bullets freeze in place, then turn into a cluster of short lasers and red bullets.
The bullets freeze close to Hooaka in the first wave, then they freeze all over the screen for the next five waves. They can glitch out in higher difficulties.
Try staying in the space between the frozen bullets bullets, but don't be too close to them.
Due to the way the blue bullets spawn, this spell is a little bit easier if Hooaka moves left, easy enough for Tsuba and Suzu to cap it in two waves, but there's still a large chance to get walled.
If Hooaka moves right, bomb immediately.

Boss Spell Card #3[edit | edit source]

Hot & Cold "Samidare Boiler"
Sublimation "Frost Needles in Early Spring"

You're literally getting walled.
The idea is to climb up and escape the wall while the bullets are frozen. This is easier with Tsuba's speed.
If you get stuck and are high enough (likely to happen with Yabu) you can stop and position yourself so the bullets above won't touch you, but it's very situational.
There's a pseudo-safespot in the top right corner of the screen, which makes this spell much easier. This used to always work, but in v1.10 the bullets have a chance to spawn right over there. The safespot still works most of the time.

Boss Spell Card #4[edit | edit source]

Eruption "Steam Explosion"
Passing Shower "Radiative Heat and Cooling Shot"

The bubbles from the first wave are fired vertically and horizonally, while the ones from the second wave are shot diagonally.
Stay in a corner or near Hooaka for the first wave then look ahead to avoid clusters, as they'll later rain down cyan bullets. You can safely stay below Hooaka for the second wave.
You can safely do this spell in the top in Easy and Normal by alternating between the center and the corners. The white bulets fire bullets upwards from Hard onwards, but the density is still lower than below.
Note that only Tsubakura can't deal damage from here, and only Suzumi can realisticaly cap it this way.
