This is a documentation subpage for Template:MusicArticle.
It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

{{MusicArticle}} is used to standardise the structure of album pages, whether it be Official CDs‎ or Arrangement CDs. Although originally based on Touhou Wiki's Template:MusicArticle, this has been restructured to suit this wiki.

Usage[edit source]

The follow explains what each parameter does (most parameters are optional):

|musictype=
Indicates whether the album is official or a fan-made arrangement. If this article is about JynX's official CDs, write "Official CDs" here. If this article is an original album, write "Original CDs". If it's neither, you can leave this blank or write "Arrangement CDs".
|titleN=
Native title of the album (Japanese, Chinese, etc.). Optional if there's only an English title.
|titleNRom=
Romanization of Japanese name, if applicable.
|titleEn=
English translation of title, if original title is Japanese. If title is English, it goes here.
|image=
Filename of the file with album cover. If available, use catalog number for the filename. In case of name collisions or when number is unavailable, use album title.
|caption=
Is not required as it will be produced automatically, but use the parameter if you want to write something else.
|group=
Group (doujin circle, label) that released the album. Use links here, like this: Releska. If album is collaborative, put several group names here, using comma and "and" as delimeters.
|groupCat=
|groupCat2=
|groupCat3=
|groupCat4=
Same as abuve, but used for categorisation and the navigation box at the bottom.
|released=
Date when the album was released, using the wiki standard, e.g. "17 April 2019".
|convention=
Fill in the name of convention the album might have been released at. Optional.
|tracks=
The number of CD tracks in this album. Use "x+y" if the album contains several CDs.
|length=
Total running length in format HH:MM:SS. Hours can be omitted, if zero.
|catalogno=
Catalog number. Leave this empty if there is none.
|genre=
Indicate the genre of the album, e.g. Electronic, Instrumental, Trance
|website=
Put preformatted link to the web page here, if available. If there's no separate link to the album's page, link to the circle's page instead.
|banner=
A small banner, that circles usually put on the album's site.
|arranger=
|lyricist=
|vocalist=
|producer=
|illustrator=
|designer=
|masterer=
These fields are for names of people who contributed to this album. If several vocalists sung in this album, write them like this:
| vocalist =First
:Second
:Third
|other_staff=
|other= (deprecated)
If there are staff members that can't be classified by fields above, lay out definition list here.
|summary=
The summary of the article. If this is not used, the template will automatically create a standard summary using some of the above parameters. If you wish to use a unique summary for an article, use this parameter.
|description=
Only used if |summary= is used. Free-form field that will be printed right after the introduction at the same line, usually to explain where the original music came from for arrangement.
|content=
Used to explain if there's more in the album than just the music, such as a booklet.
|tracklist=
The parameter used to list the tracks in the album. See § Track list.
|reflist=
Set this field to "yes" if you've used any reference tags.[1] This will list references like on any other page.
|notelist=
Same as above if making notes.

Track list[edit source]

First, two examples:

*{{Track|13|{{nihongo|A World Lacking of You|君が足りない世界}}|04:19}}
**Original Title: {{lang|ja|古く噎せる記憶}} ~ BEGAN
**Source: {{EE}}

*{{Track|07|Initial Coordinates|02:44}}
**Arrangement: Releska
**Original Title: {{lang|ja|古く噎せる記憶}} ~ BEGAN

Each track list entry consists of title line and of zero or more additional lines.
