Reading of 厳[edit source]
Are we sure the kanji is supposed to be read as いわ? Because I can't find a single source that states that the kanji can be read that way. I'd personally be more inclined to say the name should be read as Itsukado or maybe even Kibikado, but unless we can reach a clear consensus, this seems like something we'd have to ask JynX directly once again... ――Popfan (talk/contribs) 17:07, 18 October 2017 (UTC)
- Now that I actually look it up properly, you're completely right. I put 'Iwakado' based on this weblio entry but neglected to double-check any other sources, whoops. (the entry in question might be the result of mixing it up w/ 巌?? idk?) And yeah, asking JynX would be good Gilde (talk) 03:18, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
- Actually, looks like you may have been right. I asked some Japanese on Twitter, and one of them provided me with this link that confirms いわ as a possible reading. Coupled with the source you provided, I guess "Iwakado" has a pretty strong case, after all. ――Popfan (talk/contribs) 05:27, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
