Because, in this world,

there's no use in trying to
make your enemy surrender

with just a simple victory.

Road 1[edit | edit source]

See: WBaWC Stage 3

Midboss Normal Attack[edit | edit source]

Tsubakura[edit | edit source]

The laser spam actively avoids you, but the dodging space is still pretty tight.
Use minimal horizontal movement to dodge the white bullets, which spawn all over the place.
On lower difficulties, you can start by shotgunning Tsuba and slowly move down from there.

Yabusame[edit | edit source]

Look ahead for gaps as soon as they fire the bullets. Bomb if you get walled.

Midboss Spell Card[edit | edit source]

The midbosses drop a life at the end of their spell, so be sure to not die in either of their attacks.

Tsubakura[edit | edit source]

Nothingness Card "Mysterious Crane -Fruitlessness-"
Nothingness Card "Mysterious Crane -Hahakigi-"

Don't stay at the bottom. Instead, stay near the black bullets and dodge from there.
It's entirely possible to do this spell with minimal vertical movement.

Yabusame[edit | edit source]

Light Card "Laser Rain"
Light Card "Laser Grid"

This spell is pretty luck-based. Sometimes you don't ever have to move and sometimes you have to be off the center for almost the entire spell.
Stay under Yabusame and hope a laser doesn't spawn right besides you. Move to the side if there are too many bullets in the center.

Road 2[edit | edit source]

So how are you doing?

Tsubakura Enraku (?)[edit | edit source]

Normal Attack #1[edit | edit source]

Random spam. Just stay calm and (flash)bomb if you get bad RNG.
This non was bugged in Unreal and fired way less bullets than it should. It's no longer free from v1.10 onwards and it's now their hardest non.

Spell Card #1[edit | edit source]

Ink Card "Picture Ink"
Ink Card "Embody Ink"

The white knives are aimed, while the black knives are static.
Just stream the white knives without eating the black ones.

Normal Attack #2[edit | edit source]

Don't go collect the items or the bubbles will kill you. Instead, stay at the bottom and dodge the incoming knives.
Look ahead for the knives pointing downwards as they spawn.

Spell Card #2[edit | edit source]

Black Card "Blackout Wheel"
Flower Card "Blackout Ink Flower"

Just spin along the flower-like thing. Stay around the middle of the "petals".
The bullets are random and may put you in a difficult situation if you're unlucky, so have a bomb ready.
If you start in a bad position, you may have to do this spell *outside* the "petal". It's unlikely, but it can happen.

Normal Attack #3[edit | edit source]

Carefully stream the gray amulets when they spawn.
The black cluster goes very low in higher difficulties, so you may have to stick to the very bottom to dodge.

Spell Card #3[edit | edit source]

Clarity Card "Ink and Silver"
Clarity Card "Ink-Black Silver Snow"

Basically Tsuba's first spell, but more random (and the colors are switched).
The white knives are the biggest threat here, as they can spawn in direction to your hitbox before you have time to react.
Try to avoid being in the center so you can react when that happens. This can a while, but both Yabusame and Suzumi can cap this spell anyways.

Spell Card #4[edit | edit source]

"Monochrome Ray"
Mysterious Card "Monochrome Storm"

Tsuba's bomb.
The bubbles can get in the way while streaming the ray, so look ahead to see if they're walling you.
Try doing it around the middle of the screen and use unfocused movement if needed.

Spell Card #5[edit | edit source]

"Blackout"
Curtain Fall "Game Over"

Stay at the bottom and misdirect the black worm. Then, while focused, tap away carefully to avoid the bubbles that erupt from there, which are aimed away from you.
Repeat, this time streaming the white bullets, which are based on your position.

Yeah, pretty much the entire fight is based on streaming and misderecting.

Yabusame Houlen[edit | edit source]

Normal Attack #1[edit | edit source]

Random spam, followed by three waves of aimed lanes.
You can just dodge the spam in the middle. The attack will end quicker but you run a higher risk of running into a bullet.
The density in the far sides of the screen is lower than everywhere else, so you could start from there.

Spell Card #1[edit | edit source]

Intersection "Flash Cross"
Intersection "Star Shell"

One of Yabu's easier spells. Focus on doing one lane at a time.
For the third wave, there's always a safespot around the intersection of the lanes.

Normal Attack #2[edit | edit source]

Stay at the bottom and focus on one wall at a time. The two pillars at the beginning of each wave are good to farm flashbombs.
Unreal
Without flashbombs, this is one of the hardest attacks in the series.
You could try doing one wall at a time like with the spell before, but this pattern is too dense and random for that.
It's better to just bomb or flashbomb it unless you get really lucky. Or use a power cancel, if you can.

Spell Card #2[edit | edit source]

Origin Card "Spatial Detachment"
Origin Card "Reality Separation"

Yabu's bomb (?).
The pattern is influenced by your movement. Just don't go crazy, but avoid standing still so you don't get trapped.
You can start in the middle and go down from there, or start in the bottom and go to the middle from there.

Normal Attack #3[edit | edit source]

Random stuff, yet again.
This pattern is so dense and random from Hard onwards that it's practically impossible doing it normally.
Instead, go near Yabusame and enter the semicircle as its bullets start moving.
You'll miss out on damage due to the way Tsuba's shot works (it takes over 30 seconds at full power), but it's better than doing it at the bottom.
This non is more doable at the bottom in lower difficulties, but the cheese strat is still there.

Spell Card #3[edit | edit source]

Teleport "Warp Kingdom"
Recurrence "Loop Kingdom"

The "star" is aimed and loops to the bottom of the screen.
If you're in the dead center you can just tap away to avoid the entire wave.
If you're anywhere else you'll probably be enclosed by two lanes, so you'll have to move carefully and look around for stuff directed at you.
By all means, don't move too much.

Spell Card #4[edit | edit source]

Space Card "Turbo Area"
Space Card "Spatial Erasure"

Look *very* ahead for the omnidirectional bullets. Use Tsuba's laser to guide yourself.
You won't have to look ahead anymore at around the middle of the spiral phase.
At full power the spell will be over before the gap goes down again.

Spell Card #5[edit | edit source]

"Dimensional Division"
"Illusion of Repeated Dimensional Rupture"
Confused Origins "Screen Shuffle"

The controls are inverted for this spell. The pattern is pretty much BoWaP but less dense.
Focus on the bottom left square and stay under Yabu, slightly off the center. You will avoid most off the bullets with barely any movement this way.
You will be forced to go "off-screen" (to the top right) for the "long wave". Return to the middle as soon as it ends. At full power you'll barely have to do two waves of this.
