Tsurubeni Enraku (炎烙 鶴紅), also known as Rubrum (ルブルム, ruburumu) is a playable character in False World.

General Information[edit | edit source]

Tsurubeni Enraku is a playable character in False World who is locating, fixing and collecting anomalies for an unknown reason. Not much is known about them in the current moment.

Backstory[edit | edit source]

Tsurubeni Enraku is a homeologue of Tsurubami Senri. Not much else is known about their past, though it is known that they used to be human in appearance, and only look as they do now due to the effects of the anomalies.

Background Information[edit | edit source]

Name[edit | edit source]

Their full name is Tsurubeni Enraku (炎烙 鶴紅). The kanji in their given name, Tsurubeni (鶴紅), mean "crane" and "crimson" respectively, and is meant to sound similar to "Tsurubami", their homeologue's given name. Additionally, the word benizuru (紅鶴, lit. "red crane") can be created by reversing the order of the kanji, which is another name for the "flamingo" in Japanese, which Tsurubeni's design prominently features. Additionally, this means that Tsurubeni, much like their homeologue, is also the owner of a bird's name. The kanji in their family name, Enraku (炎烙), mean "flame" and "brand" (as in "to burn the flesh with a hot iron, either as a marker or to cauterise a wound") respectively. Interestingly, the name sounds identical to Tsubakura Enraku's family name, albeit written in completely different kanji. No other connection between the two characters is known.

Their nickname, Rubrum (ルブルム), means "red" in Latin. Tsurubeni earnt this nickname due to their bomb "Flamma", which produces "red and brightly sparkling fire" along their wheels.

Design[edit | edit source]

Tsurubeni's appears as a cartoonish human whose entire body/legs have been replaced with a motorcycle wheel. Their head is black orb with two white, oval eyes. On their head, they wear a flamingo decoration with its wings outstretched and its neck and head tucked close to the body, which rises when Tsurubeni moves. Around their neck is a crimson collar in the style of a mechanical nut, underneath which is (presumably metallic) plating resembling a dress with long sleeves, with large openings on the front and back to accommodate their wheel. On their back is a horizontal cylinder from which two green exhaust pipes protrude.
