On-screen vs. onscreen vs. on screen[edit source]
This seems to have become a minor point of contention as of recent, so I figured I'd open a discussion so we can safely decide on one of the three. Personally, I'd advocate for "on-screen". Separating it into two words makes me feel like it'd require a "the" inbetween to look like proper English, and while I don't really have anything convincing to say against "onscreen", it just looks unusual to me personally. ――Popfan (talk/contribs) 23:17, 28 January 2018 (UTC)
- I'm actually okay with all three. Each of them are essentially alternative spellings. But yeah, if there's a need for consistency, then one should be chosen (If I were to choose, it'd be "on-screen" for same reasons). ― Tony64 (Talk/Con.) 23:43, 28 January 2018 (UTC)
- Some quick research later, it turns out all three are valid spellings, so now it's a matter of deciding on one to stick with. (Still vouching for "on-screen", of course.) ――Popfan (talk/contribs) 00:18, 29 January 2018 (UTC)
- On-screen for the win! I-I mean for the formality! --Doppelotter (talk) 01:29, 29 January 2018 (UTC)
- I really don't like the dash. I'd propose on screen for the most part and onscreen as direct adjective, but obviously whatever the majority wants. Wheelofrally (talk) 22:56, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
