Halcyon?[edit source]

I love Clause just like majority of the Le'fandom, but something in them bugged me, and it's the "Halcyon" part. I know it means Kingfisher, that's a no brainer, but it also has the definition of: "calm, peaceful and tranquil"; “calm; rich; carefree.” or “a time of peace and prosperity”, which to be honest - is not what you can say to some who listens to them talk, however there is an expression "Halcyon days" - a period of calm weather in the winter, which would somehow explain how the hell Clause survived RMI to begin with (from someone who lives in a place where winter is pretty long (almost 7 months), I can confidently say that yes, surviving in winter is harsh, I barely saw any hobos outside). There is also a goddess named Alcyone who was a wife of Ceyx and they thought of themselves as "Zeus and Hera" (quite fits with Clause being delusional and all) and Zeus killed Ceyx by launching a thunderbolt at his ship when he was at the sea. Ceyx informed Alcyone about his death through the apparation created by Morpheus, and she, ridden with guilt, killed herself by falling into the sea, and then gods deicde to take mercy on the couple and transformed them into kingfishers. There is also Pleiadian Alcyone who was the daughter of Atlas (who carried the sky on his shoulders, referring to gravity) and Pleione (which I think has more inspiration going on since their names are pronounced the same way and Pleiades generally considered more supernatural I think). Pleiades constelation is also a part of Taurus constalation, which would explain why Clause is "immune" to memory earsure from Suzumi (specifically Arde I suppose). And, to end my half-baked research, I found this farfetched information about Japanese name for Pleiades cluster, and it's Mutsuraboshi (I didn't found the original name, sorry) from 8th century Kojiki which is now known as Subaru, and maybe that's a clue to Clause's real name (Like it was with Hoojiro's name), but I doubt it. — ALePH (talk) 13:27, 18 May 2021 (UTC)

Clause's name and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz[edit source]

talks on the discord led us to think Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz is also a inspiration for clause's name, due to ties with suzumi related stuff such as 3 body or monads https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gottfried_Wilhelm_Leibniz, putting this here so that if anything comes from it its front and center to the side R8Spike (talk) 20:33, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
