Len'en Mugenri (Unreal Land) ~ Misremembered Memories (連縁无現里 ~ Misremembered Memories) is a Len'en Project fangame created by Mugenri using the Danmakufu ph3sx game engine. The game was made with inspiration from the PC-98 era of the Touhou Project, having the graphics and sound made with such style. It features an Extra boss length battle with Tsurubami Senri, who mostly has spell cards that are based on characters from Earthen Miraculous Sword, Reactivate Majestical Imperial and Brilliant Pagoda or Haze Castle. The game is only available in English.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Gameplay is mostly like the other Len'en games. There are two playable characters, with each encountering unique spell cards when facing Tsurubami Senri. Both fights are full Extra Stage length bosses with three selectable difficulties; Easy Extra, Extra and Absurdly Extra. There are no flash bombs, being similar to the older version of Evanescent Existence. Through the options menu, the player can adjust how many lives they want to start the game with, and the game allows continues; these two features do not affect clearing the game for a good ending.

The practice menu allows not only for the player to practise spell cards, but also non-spells and allowing either playable character to take on any spell card of the game.

Story[edit | edit source]

Taking place sometime after Brilliant Pagoda or Haze Castle, Yabusame Houlen and Tsubakura Enraku fall asleep and start dreaming about the space Shrine Road. Tsurubami Senri appears, supposedly as their true self, but what would they want with the current priests...?

Music[edit | edit source]

The game features 5 tracks; 4 Len'en arrangements and an original track, composed by Mugenri in the style of PC-98.

Development[edit | edit source]

The game was developed using the ph3sx version of Danmakufu prominently by Mugenri. The development took two years, with the project officially starting on 9 Feburary 2021. The demo version of the game was released on 25 June 2022, featuring only Yabusame's fight. The full version was released on 27 January 2023 for BulletForge and itch.io, later having a Steam release on 16 Feburary 2023. The cover art of the game was drawn by kappamin.
