Summary
  • Kanae explains that he likely caught a cold from the crowd when he went to the Tokyo Game Show last Sunday, though he feels mostly recovered by now.
  • Kanae explains that he changed the number of points rewarded by each advertisement from 50 to 100 in the recent Book of the Cafe update, allowing players to reach the daily maximum of 500 points by watching just 5 advertisements.
  • Kanae mentions that they're going to write this month's pixiv FANBOX update, which will be about the coming month's Book of the Cafe update content.
    • He notes that there's not going to be a lot added next month, since he has been and will be busy with the 10th Len'en anniversary. Though he also admits that he didn't progress too much with the anniversary work this month either, due to personal reasons.
    • He first prepares the needed materials, drawing the new dish and recording the animations of the new enemy unit, and then starts working on writing the articles, all while chatting with the viewers.
    • At 00:11 the next day, Kanae managed to finish the article and release them on pixiv FANBOX.

Summary
  • Kanae starts out jokingly panicking about the fact that the 10th Len'en anniversary is just over a month away.
    • He teases that he has a lot planned for the anniversary, including something on both Rei and Zelo's channel and on his own.
  • Kanae explains that since Tetris 99 happens to be doing a special Xenoblade Chronicles 3 event, he decided to play the game until he gets the skin first, which he managed within approx. 15 minutes.
  • Kanae explains that the stream title refers to a game that's been rather popular with streamers recently, the "Watermelon Game" (スイカゲーム).
    • He admits that he doesn't actually understand what makes it so popular, and so got the game on the Switch to stream sometime in the future.
    • He adds that the game seems rather simplistic (though he hasn't actually played the game, only watched videos of it), both from a gameplay perspective and a coding perspective.
    • So, he decided to do a stream where he'd show off himself coding for the first time, creating a clone of the game in Unity and releasing it on Unity Room.
    • He explains that he already tried recreating the game once, and on a purely mechanical level, managed to do so within 30 minutes, and so is confident that he'd be able to do so within a stream.
    • He adds that if that stream goes well, he might consider other simple coding streams like these, such as a Vampire Survivors clone with Len'en.
  • Kanae decides on the coming week's schedule.
Day Stream
Monday Dragon Quest Monsters 3: The Dark Prince trial
Tuesday Productivity Stream
Wednesday Break
Thursday Gaming Stream: Cooking Simulator
Friday Productivity Stream
Saturday Programming Stream: Making a Watermelon Game clone
Sunday Chatting Stream
  • Kanae asks the viewers if any of them did anything "summer-like" during the past summer.
    • He shares that he went to 3 summer festivals, but they were all so crowded that he didn't really get to enjoy it.
    • He shares that he actually also went to a fireworks show a while ago, though avoided talking about it so that the area he lives in wouldn't be revealed.
    • He shares that it was so crowded that it took a long time queuing up to both go to and leave the event space, and during the time he witnessed a lot of people disobeying the police officer's instructions and disrupting the queues' order and the event space's standing formation in various ways.
    • He concludes that he would absolutely not recommend going to a fireworks show, unless one wants to "witness humanity's foolishness".
  • Having finished his rant about the fireworks show, he realises that he has nothing to talk about, and turns to the "random topic generator" that he used in a much earlier chatting stream for a topic.
    • The first one he got was "favourite alcohol", to which he answers that his favourite is definitely beer, with whisky and saké for second and third favourite, though he can't decide which is which.
    • He then got "talk about a character kids these days wouldn't know about", to which he responded with "Center Man" (センターマン), "Department Manager Kosuda" (小須田部長) amd "Miss Milky" (ミル姉さん), both characters from the "Smiling Dog" (笑う犬) comedy TV show series.
    • Third, he got "what would you say to someone's who's 10 minutes late to your first date", and answers that he doesn't really care at all since it's just 10 minutes and wouldn't say anything about it, though he may have already contacted them since he'd be worried they're at the wrong place.
    • Bouncing off of that question, he asks the viewers how long they'd be willing to wait for a friend to show up before they give up and go home or go on without the friend. He notes that most people give around 30 minutes to an hour, which he agrees is likely the most common normal answer, though he shares that he once waited 8 hours for a friend.
    • He recounts the experience fondly, since his friend gave really funny excuses as to why he couldn't come out yet, such as "My parents stopped me right as I was about to go out, I'm convincing them right now". It was also a fond memory as he was waiting with other friends, so they all ended up playing Magic: The Gathering together as they waited for him.
    • He answers his own question, saying that in a normal situation, he'd likely wait for an hour and then ask the friend if they're really coming, if they doesn't answer clearly or answers that they can't, he'd simply go home.
    • As for the original question about waiting for a date, he admits that while he wouldn't say anything, he might have a bad impression of his date because of it, depending on why they were late.
    • His fourth question was "Where would you go to if you could freely change your job?" To which he jokingly answers that he'd like to get a job where he could earn lots of money without having to do anything, like an oil tycoon. For a more fantastical answer, he shares that he'd want to become a space pilot.
  • Kanae suddenly recalls an idea for a new type of stream: Since there are a lot of popular anime that he hasn't watched yet, he could do a "first impressions based on appearance" stream and then watch the anime together with the viewers.
    • He also shares that he did in fact watch a movie recently, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which he did enjoy.
