月曜日「ただいま」 |
Monday: "I'm back!" |
- Race Summary
- Kanae stared the stream without the race game running, because he was in the middle of working on it prior to the stream.
- He was working so that the game could randomly select a course on its own, but it took longer than expected.
- He explains that it's because the size of the balls, how much they bounce, etc. are changed manually for each course, so he has to make it so that the game can do so on its own as well. Specifically, he was making sure each course works as intended before the stream started, and was on the very last course.
- He worked on the game while going over the opening formalities and had it ready by the time the work hour started.
- Results of the race:
- Overall Winner: Mitsumo
- Entered goal first the most: Tom C. Zemlja (4th place)
- Timed out the most: Yago Ametsukana (44th place)
- Lowest-scoring: Oama no Ake no Mitori
- Main Summary
- Kanae worked on something art-related for Book of the Cafe in preparation for April Fool's.
- He admits that this is the least he has planned for April Fool's ever.
- After the hour, he revealed that he made a new logo for the full version of BotC and showed it off.
- Overtime Summary
- Kanae mentions that he once bought a ¥500 small uncut gemstone at a gemstone fair at Shinjuku a long time ago, though he couldn't find what the stone is called.
- After a while of searching, he found that it was called a geode.
- He realised that since March was ending, it was about time to write a new pixiv FANBOX article too.
- He remembered that he forgot to check whether Mess Adventures runs properly on his computer, so did so as well.
- He recounts a story where he found a vending machine which sells Zone, his favourite energy drink, for cheap. In his excitement, he bought two only to realise that they were at a smaller size than usual.

- As the day changed to 1st April, Kanae made several random lies, including "I was a woman this whole time!", "I love tomatoes," "I love horror," and "I'll be starting a 24 hour stream now."
- The chat lied in return, praising Kanae's Nyanchu (にゃんちゅう)[b] imitation, which he had done on several prior streams and everyone in chat agrees was bad.

- Summary: Answered Marshmallow asks and interacted with chat
- As a part of April Fool's, Kanae joked that he was on the cusp of getting a million subscribers.
- As a part of the "celebrations", Kanae has confetti raining down, wore a cake on his head and had a cat tail attached.
- Additionally, he once again bought McDonald's to eat, specifically the "double chicken fillet burger" (倍チキンフィレオ)..
- He rewatched the April Fool's video and gave several comments about it.
- He shared that he realised that he forgot to add the Trick Nostalgie jingle 10 seconds before the premier started.
- He shared that the English subtitles were done with the help of DeepL Translate.
- He explains that he didn't give a specific date of release since the day may vary based on how long Google Play takes to review the game.
- He shares that he plans to have a "test period" when the game first comes out, which would only have the 1st chapter of the main story, with the rest of the chapters gradually released afterwards.
- When the new character shows up in the video, Kanae refers to them as "something-same", likely an allusion to Yabusame Houlen.
- About next week's schedule:
- As a reward for making it in time for April Fool's, Kanae decided to make the next week a gaming week.
- Particularly, they really want to wrap up Lobotomy Corporation so they can move on to Library of Ruina and subsequently Limbus Company.
Do you combine several bases to form a character, or do you considering their role in the story first and connect that to the bases, etc.
I'm especially curious as to the process that lead to characters like Kuroji and Suzumi.
So he concludes his process as such: First come up with the world, which has various roles to be filled. Then consider which of these roles to use and pick bases related to their location, story, other characters, etc. to create a character around.
As for Kuroji and Suzumi, they had rather unique creation processes which he seemed to find very difficult to explain, especially because it may lead to accidental spoilers. With Suzumi, he notes that they were a character that has been around since Len'en's very beginning, around the same time Tsubakura Enraku and Yabusame Houlen were created, earlier than Kuroji's conception. Almost like they were there the moment the world of Len'en was thought up in his mind. He finally crudely adds that Suzumi was added because he liked birds, and he didn't know how Kuroji came to be.
He was additionally asked which character took the longest to make, which he found difficult to answer since the characters are always liable to have changes, like getting an expanded backstory, making it rather difficult to define "completing" a character. Considering it from the angle of finishing the rough outline of a character, he answers that it was likely one of the three protagonists, Yabusame, Tsubakura or Suzumi. He adds that there were a lot of characters that took a lot of research time as well, for example, Oama no Ake no Mitori took him reading through 3 to 4 books to read up on their inspiration(s), though likely even more if we count the books he read at the library but doesn't own.
Conversely, he admits that Shion is a bit of an afterthought as a character in Reactivate Majestical Imperial. While the idea of "a living being born from the Harujion" was technically there in the overall concept of the story, they were only fleshed out as a character named "Shion" after he decided to move this character from being the stage 4/5 boss to the final boss.
(かなえくんのLive2Dを作る際に使ったソフトは何ですか?cubismですか?)
(今までで一番作曲に苦労した曲は何ですか?)
He mentions that most songs are composed within a single day, but then remembers that a lot of songs from Book of the Cafe also took him a while, especially Trioid Toykeat and Infinite Zero-Point Ego Eris.
- Throughout the video, a viewer counter was shown in the corner, which periodically went down.
- After answering the first Marshmallow question, which took quite a long time and focus, Kanae exclaims that he forgot to do "something" and suddenly the counter went down again.
- When it was about to reach "999,800", he again very obviously cut it down by a hundred; And as the day was about to end, it fell by a hundred again then rose to 999,999.
- Then as the day changed and April Fool's along with it, it dropped to 0 and exploded.
- He then asked why he had to reach a million subscribers, directing the viewers to the video title, which he had changed then to Going Until I Get 3 Subscribers (チャンネル登録者数3人以上いくまで耐久配信). Since he had 664 subscribers at the time, he could end the stream without breaking the rules.
- He reveals that the counter was just a program that he made in 30 minutes right before the stream, imitating the subscriber count screen, with buttons labelled "SpdUp", "End", "Explosion" and "-100".
